Chaired by Dr Bounpanh Xaymountry, Director General, Department of Planning, Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), GPE Partnership Compact Workshop was held in Vientiane on 19^th October 2023 with representatives from MoES departments, Australian Embassy and education specialists from Save the Children International in Laos and other development partners joining face to face or online.

Save the Children International with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Ministry of Education and Sports organized a conference on early grade reading on January 31, 2019. The conference was part of the second phase of Learning and Engaging All in Primary Schools (LEAPS II) funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
